The GARUDA Portal, as an important scientific reference source, still faces
technical obstacles, and it is not yet known precisely how USU students perceive
its success. The purpose of this study is to determine the success of the GARUDA
Portal based on the perceptions of USU students using the DeLone and McLean
model. The method used is quantitative with an associative approach. Data analysis
used multiple regression, which included a normality test with a value of 0.200, a
heteroscedasticity test with significance values of 0.377, 0.121, and 0.618, and a
multicollinearity test with a tolerance value >0.10 and a VIF value <10. The
analysis results show that system quality (X1), information quality (X2), and
service quality (X3) have a positive and significant effect on real benefits (Y) with
a significance value < 0.05, while real benefits (Y) also have a positive and
significant effect on the success of using the GARUDA Portal for students at the
University of North Sumatra. Information quality, which includes content relevance
and accuracy, also contributes greatly to students' positive perceptions. Service
quality, which includes responsiveness and technical support, has proven to be an
important factor in enhancing the user experience. These findings provide insights
into aspects that need to be considered in developing the Garuda Portal to be more
effective and efficient, especially for students.
