Perubahan Tekanan Intraokular Sebelum dan Sesudah Operasi Katarak Dengan Teknik Fakoemulsifikasi Pada Pasien Katarak Senilis Di Rumah Sakit Mata Medan Baru

Abstract

Introduction: Cataract is the main cause of blindness in the world. According to WHO data in 2019, 65.2 million people got vision problems due to cataract. Phacoemulsification is often used in cataract surgery technique, Intraocular pressure is one of the parameters for monitoring surgical result. Objective: This study aims to examine the changes of intraocular pressure before and after phacoemulsification in Medan Baru Eye Hospital. This a case series study with a total 440 samples with cataract senilis patients aged>40 years old. Pre and post operative intraocular pressure was measured in 1 hour before surgery, 1 day after surgery, 7 day after surgery and 14 day after surgery. Results: Analysis using paired T-test showed there were significant changing intraocular pressure between before surgery compare to 1 day after surgery (p=0.00), 7 day after surgery (p=0.00) and 14 days after surgery (p=0.00). Conclusion: There is chamging intraocular pressure before and after cataract surgery with phacoemulsification technique in Medan Baru Eye Hospital
