    Abstract
This research aims to identify and analyze the positive relationship between leadership and the performance of Gen Z employees at PT Media Antar Nusa (Nusanet) Medan. The background of this research is the phenomenon of performance inconsistency among Gen Z employees, characterized by fluctuating productivity and a decline in work accuracy and initiative. Managing Gen Z, with their unique characteristics of being tech-savvy yet having high expectations for flexibility, presents a distinct challenge for management. This study uses a quantitative correlational method, with a saturated sample of 108 Gen Z employees. Data was collected through a Likert scale questionnaire compiled based on six aspects of leadership adapted from Haslam (2020) and five aspects of employee performance from Judge & Robbins (2022). The results of the data analysis show a correlation coefficient of 0.854 with a significance level of 0.000, which indicates a positive and significant relationship. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the majority of employees' perceptions (63.0%) of leadership fall into the medium category, aligning with the majority's self- assessment (60.2%) of their own performance, which is also in the medium"category. This result implies that the perceived medium effectiveness of leadership contributes to a medium level of performance, suggesting that more focused leadership strategies are needed to optimize the full potential of Gen Z employees at the company.
