dc.description.abstractHypoalbuminemia is a condition in which the body lacks blood albumin levels with albumin levels <3.5 g/dL. Hypoalbuminemia can prolong the duration of wound healing so that additional albumin intake from food or supplements is needed. One source of albumin is free-range chicken eggs which contain 95% albumin. In addition to albumin, collagen intake can also shorten the duration of wound healing. Collagen can be sourced from broiler chicken leg bones with collagen of 12.08%. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of administering intra-socket gummy protein made from albumin, nanocollagen, and gelatin with different concentrations on the duration of tooth extraction wound healing and the formation of fibroblast cells in the tooth socket tissue of hypoalbuminemic rats. This study is an experimental laboratory study with 24 male Wistar gallur rats (Rattus norvegicus) given low-protein feed as research samples divided into 3 groups. Group 1 is a control group that is not given intra-socket gummy protein, group 2 is a test group given intra-socket gummy protein with a concentration of 15% albumin, 5% nanocollagen, and 30% gelatin, while group 3 is a test group given intra-socket gummy protein with a concentration of 25% albumin, 10% nanocollagen, and 30% gelatin. Measurement of the duration of wound healing in this study was carried out by assessing signs of inflammation and measuring the number of fibroblast cells in the samples histopathologically. The results of the study were then analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test (p <0.05). The results of the analysis of the duration of wound healing showed that group 3 had the shortest average duration (6±0), followed by group 2 (8.33±3.20), and group 1 with the longest duration (13±2.45). The results of the analysis of the number of fibroblast cells showed that group 3 had the highest average number of fibroblasts (23.33±13.15), followed by group 2 (13.67±10.85), and group 1 with the lowest number of fibroblast cells (7.17±9.86). The conclusion of this study is that intra-socket gummy protein in group 3 has the most significant effect on wound healing of tooth extraction in hypoalbuminemic rats.en_US
