dc.description.abstractHypoalbuminemia is defined as a blood albumin level of less than 3.5 g/dL. Low albumin levels can increase the risk of infection-related complications, delay wound healing, and raise mortality risks. The use of free-range chicken egg albumin and collagen from broiler chicken foot bones can accelerate the wound-healing process. Free-range chicken eggs contain 57.9% albumin. Broiler chicken foot bones contain collagen, a protein fiber that plays a biological role in assisting bone and vascular repair and maintaining structural integrity. This study aimed to determine the optimal formulation of albumin and nanocollagen for wound healing and to analyze the effectiveness of intra-socket protein gummies in accelerating post-extraction wound healing in hypoalbuminemia rats and the number of fibroblast cells produced. The research began with albumin extraction from free-range chicken egg whites, nanocollagen and gelatin extraction from broiler chicken foot bones, the preparation of intra-socket protein gummy formulations, acclimatization of test animals, rat tooth extraction, administration of intra-socket protein gummies to test groups, wound observation, fibroblast cell count observation, and data analysis. The results showed that the mean wound-healing time and standard deviation in group 1 (control) were 13.00 ± 2.449 days; in group 2 (35:15), 8.67 ± 3.266 days; and in group 3 (15:5), 8.33 ± 3.204 days. The Kruskal-Wallis test yielded a p-value of 0.042 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference in wound-healing time across all groups. The mean number of fibroblast cells and standard deviation in group 1 (control) were 7.17 ± 9.867; in group 2 (35:15), 13.67 ± 11.039; and in group 3 (15:5), 13.67 ± 10.445. The Kruskal-Wallis test yielded a p-value of 0.302 (>0.05), indicating no significant difference in the number of fibroblast cells among the groups. It can be concluded that the administration of intra-socket protein gummies is effective in promoting wound healing after tooth extraction in a hypoalbuminemia rat model.en_US
