This study aims to identify plant species that produce resin, nectar, and pollen as
forage sources for Trigona spp., to describe the beekeeping profile in Kebun Efi, and
to analyze the availability of forage based on flowering periods. The research was
conducted in Sukamaju Village, Tigapanah District, using the census method by
identifying all flowering plant species without random sampling. Data were collected
through field observations, interviews with beekeepers, and vegetation identification
using PlantNet, GPS, and Avenza Maps.
The results identified 20 plant species serving as forage sources for Trigona,
consisting of 4 resin-producing species and 16 nectar- and pollen-producing species.
Perennial flowering plants such as Coleus scutellarioides and Cuphea hyssopifolia
act as primary forage sources, ensuring continuous nutritional supply for the
colonies. The diversity of plant species and variations in flowering periods indicate
that Efi garden provides stable year-round forage availability, demonstrating strong
potential for the development of Trigona beekeeping based on ecotourism and
natural resource conservation.
