    Abstract
This study was prompted by the low reading literacy scores in Indonesia, which potentially hinder children's ability to process information. In this context, the Read Aloud method is considered an effective approach to cultivate reading interest and build a foundation for information literacy. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Read Aloud method facilitated by the Read Aloud Medan Community (RAME) in fostering children's information literacy. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Primary data were obtained through participant observation and in-depth interviews from three volunteers and five children 6-12 years old. Secondary data were obtained from activity records and community archives. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Read Aloud method by Read Aloud Medan Community (RAME) effectively supports almost all stages of UNESCO's information literacy framework. However, in practice, two steps were found to be suboptimal: first, the process of presenting the story was still rather one-sided, hindering stage 3 of information literacy, which is determining the availability of information; and second, the reader process is still lacking in explicitly exploring children's views and feelings, which is related to stage 7 of information literacy, namely assessing the validity and credibility of information. Therefore, the Read Aloud method facilitates children's information literacy development, equipping them with the ability to understand and process information creatively.
