    Abstract
SCHYNDYO HASIAN WISELY TAMBUN. Analysis of Factors Influencing Students’ Interest in Becoming Agripreneurs (Case Study: Students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara). Under the guidance of Mr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo and Ms. Tavi Supriana as a lecturer examiners. The agricultural sector plays a vital role in Indonesia’s economic development; however, the interest of young generations, particularly university students, in becoming agricultural entrepreneurs remains relatively low. This study aims to analyze the interest of students from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, in pursuing careers as agricultural entrepreneurs, as well as the factors influencing this interest. The research employed a logistic regression model with independent variables including gender, family farming experience, motivation, capital, perception, and knowledge and skills. The sample consisted of 175 students selected through cluster sampling. The results revealed that the majority of students expressed an interest in becoming agricultural entrepreneurs. Variables such as family farming experience, motivation, capital, perception, and knowledge and skills showed a positive and significant influence on students’ entrepreneurial interest, while gender did not have a significant effect. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for academic institutions and policymakers in designing entrepreneurship education programs and supportive policies to encourage the regeneration of farmers by strengthening students’ interest in agricultural entrepreneurship.
