The Influence of Growth Mindset on Employee Performance at Automotive Company X Medan
Abstract
This research analyzes the influence of growth mindset on employee performance at the X Medan Automotive Company. In facing the highly competitive automotive industry, achieving optimal performance is very crucial. With this, growth mindset as the ability to believe that abilities and efforts can be honed has an important role in helping employees adapt and develop in a dynamic work environment. The aim of this research is to determine the extent to which growth mindset influences employee performance. This research uses a quantitative approach, the sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling and a research sample of 88 employees was obtained. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that there is a positive and significant influence between growth mindset and employee performance (p < 0.001). The value (R-square) of 0.617 indicates that 61.7% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by growth mindset. This means that there is an influence of growth mindset on employee performance at the X Medan Automotive Company. These results show that growth mindset is a key factor that significantly influences work performance, and strengthen the belief that improving this mindset can encourage more optimal performance.
