| dc.description.abstract | The rapid growth of internet usage in the digital era has brought convenience but also significant risks, especially in terms of data security. Many users remain unaware of cyber threats, such as phishing attacks, which exploit user ignorance to steal personal and confidential information through fake websites. This study proposes the development of an expert system using a rule-based approach to detect phishing attempts. By applying predefined rules-such as flagging URLs that contain IP addresses-the system can identify suspicious website behavior. Rule-based systems provide transparency and interpretability, enabling users to understand the reasoning behind each decision. This approach is expected to increase user awareness and provide early warnings to prevent users from entering sensitive data into malicious websites. Ultimately, this system aims to reduce the impact of phishing and strengthen cybersecurrity defenses for everyday internet users. | en_US |
