Analisis Pendapatan dan Efisiensi Usaha Peternakan Babi di Kecamatan Kuala, Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

Pigs are monogastric animals that have a high feed conversion capacity and are prolific, meaning they can produce many offspring per litter. Pig farming requires production costs for maintenance. This study aims to determine the production costs, revenue, income, and efficiency of pig farming in Kuala District, Langkat Regency. This study was conducted from May to July 2025 in 9 villages in Kuala District, Langkat Regency. This study used survey methods and direct interviews with farmers. Data collection was carried out through surveys, direct interviews, and documentation. The sample used in the study was 40 people. Sampling used a simple random sampling technique. The results of the study showed that the average production cost was Rp.60.347.023/farmer/year, the average revenue was Rp.75.768.585/farmer/year,income was Rp.15.421.562/farmer/year, and the R/C value was 1.26, which means that pig farming in Kuala District, Langkat Regency can be continued.
