Evaluasi Perpustakaan Sekolah UPT SMP Negeri 45 Medan dengan Menggunakan Standar Nasional Perpustakaan Nomor 4 Tahun 2024

Abstract

This study aims to know about the implementation of the National Standards for Junior High School/Madrasah Tsanawiyah Libraries at the UPT SMP Negeri 45 Medan Library based on The National Library Standard Number 4 of 2024. This study uses a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation referring to six national standard components, namely: collection, facilities and infrastructure, services, personnel, implementation, and management. The results of the study show that the Library of UPT SMP Negeri 45 Medan has met most of the specified indicators. The details are as follows: collection standards of 86.1%, facilities and infrastructure of 86.2%, services of 100%, personnel of 45.5%, implementation of 69.2%, and management of 90.9%, resulting in an overall success rate of 83.5%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Library of UPT SMP Negeri 45 Medan has implemented the National Library Standards with a very good rating, although improvements are still needed in terms of library staff and management. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for schools in improving aspects that do not yet meet the standards so that all library components can be fulfilled in accordance with the standards and library management can be carried out optimally.
