| dc.description.abstract | The development of information technology has driven the transformation of
library services from conventional to digital systems. This study aims to evaluate
students' perceptions of the UMSU digital library application using the User
Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. This study uses a descriptive quantitative
approach with a population of 606 UMSU students who are currently and have used
the UMSU Digital Library application. The sampling technique used Accidental
Sampling, which yielded 91 samples. Data collection was conducted through
questionnaires. The data were analysed using the UEQ Data Analysis Tool version
12, which assessed six aspects, namely Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency,
Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty. The results showed that the aspect of
dependability (accuracy) obtained the highest score of 1.610, indicating that the
application was considered stable, reliable, and provided a sense of security for
users. Conversely, the attractiveness aspect received the lowest score of 1.518,
although it was still in the positive category. The attractiveness aspect received a
mean score of 1.518. Furthermore, the scores for each aspect were as follows: the
perspicuity aspect received a mean score of 1.580. The efficiency aspect obtained
a mean score of 1.569. The dependability aspect had a mean score of 1.610. The
stimulation aspect had a mean score of 1.585. Based on a comparison with the UEQ
benchmark, the UMSU digital library application was categorised as Good in the
aspects of Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty, and Above Average
in the aspects of Attractiveness and Perspicuity. | en_US |
