Introduction:Hand measurements have a good estimate of a person's height to help identify the remains of human bodies that are dismembered and separated in circumstances such as mass disasters, murders, airplane accidents, train and highway accidents. This study examines the relationship between hand length and height in Jambi Malay tribe. Methods: This study is an analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The type of data used in this study is primary data, namely data obtained directly from 56 people of the JambiMalay tribe. Results: The results showed that all independent variables (length of the right and left hands of both men and women and without distinguishing gender) had a relationship with height with a P-Value <0.05 (P = 0.001). Conclusion: These findings underscore the need for further studies to assess height estimation based on other bone lengths and studies in other ethnic groups.
