    Abstract
This study aims to describe the use of comic strips as a medium for learning fine arts in class XI of SMA Negeri 4 Medan, as well as to analyizing student responses, advantages, and obstacles that arise during the learning process. Referring to the need for visual media innovation in the digital era, comic strips were chosen because they are able to combine text and images in a narrative manner, thus facilitating the understanding of fine arts concepts. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of teachers and students in class XI-1 and XI-2. The results showed that comic strips increased learning motivation, student engagement, and the ability to understand fine arts concepts in a more concrete and enjoyable way. Students also showed increased creativity through reading and making comic strips. The advantages of this media include visual appeal, ease of understanding, and suitability for the learning style of the digital generation. Obstacles found were time constraints, variations in students' drawing abilities, and the need for teacher adaptation in managing narrative visual media. Overall, comic strips were considered effective and relevant as a medium for learning fine arts in SMA Negeri 4 Medan.
