ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the National Standards for Academic Libraries (SNPPT) No. 5 of 2024 at the Library of Universitas Mandiri Bina Prestasi Medan. The standard serves as a guideline for managing academic libraries to support educational, research, and community service activities. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The findings indicate that the implementation of the National Standards for Academic Libraries No. 5 of 2024 at the Library of Universitas Mandiri Bina Prestasi Medan has been carried out fairly well, although several indicators have not been fully met. In the aspect of collection development, the library provides both printed and digital collections; however, their quantity and relevance still need improvement. Most facilities and infrastructure comply with the standards, but several facilities require enhancement and modernization. Library services are conducted according to established procedures, yet technology-based service innovations remain suboptimal. In the aspect of library staff, the number of librarians is not yet sufficient to support optimal operations. Supporting factors include institutional support and managerial commitment, while inhibiting factors include limited budgets, inadequate facilities, and the suboptimal use of technology. The study concludes that although the library has made efforts to implement the standards, several aspects still require improvement to fully meet the National Standards for Academic Libraries No. 5 of 2024. This research is expected to serve as a reference for academic libraries in enhancing the quality of their services and management.
