Introduction. Children with special needs are at higher risk of injuries and emergencies due to mobility and cognitive limitations. Parental preparedness in providing first aid is crucial to prevent complications. Health education can improve parents’ ability to recognize and respond to emergency conditions. Objective. To evaluate the effectiveness of health education on parents’ knowledge, attitude, and behavior regarding pediatric emergency management at SLB Negeri Binjai. Method. This quasi-experimental study used a one-group pre-test post-test design involving 80 respondents selected via consecutive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using the Paired Samples T-Test and additional Chi-Square analysis. Results and Discussion. There was a statistically significant improvement after the intervention (p < 0.05). The proportion of respondents with good knowledge increased from 31.3% to 70%. Positive attitude increased from 45% to 72.5%, and good behavior also improved. Demographic factors such as age, education, occupation, and prior emergency experience showed no significant association with baseline knowledge (p > 0.05). Conclusion. Health education effectively improves parental preparedness regarding emergency management in children. Demographic characteristics do not determine baseline emergency knowledge, indicating the need for structured education across all parent groups.en_US
