Fractures are a common musculoskeletal problem in children and may affect bone growth and functional mobility. The variation in fracture location among pediatric patients is influenced by age, physical activity, and anatomical characteristics of growing bones. Younger children tend to sustain upper extremity fractures due to falls with outstretched hands, while adolescents experience a broader range of injuries as physical activities increase. Objective: To determine the relationship between age and fracture location in pediatric patients at Adam Malik General Hospital, Medan, during January – December 2024. Methods: This study was an analytical observational research with a cross-sectional design, utilizing secondary data from medical records of children aged 0–18 years diagnosed with fractures. The Chi-Square test was used to analyze the association between age and fracture location. Results: A total of 150 subjects were included in the study, with most being adolescents (68%) and male (81.3%). The majority of fractures occurred in the upper extremities (68%). Statistical analysis showed no significant relationship between age and fracture location (p = 0.313). Conclusion: Age was not significantly associated with fracture location among pediatric patients. Other factors such as mechanism of injury and physical activity may play a more substantial role in determining fracture patterns.en_US
