dc.description.abstractSolar energy is one of the new renewable energy sources that can be used to replace non-renewable fossil fuels. However, temperature is one of the main factors that affect the performance of solar energy photovoltaic panel. This study aims to design a photovoltaic panel cooling control system so that the device can reduce the surface temperature of the photovoltaic panel, so that the output power of the photovoltaic panel will be increased too. The cooling method used is active cooling with water which is designed using an Arduino Nano microcontroller with DS18B20 sensor which senses the surface of the photovoltaic panel, with a Micro SD module as a storage medium for recording electrical parameters form the device and a relay for activating the water pump. This study will compare the efficiency the output power of photovoltaic panel without cooling and with cooling and also test the performance of monitoring and cooling control device system. The results of the study showed that the device was successfully implemented with a comparison of the average power output of the photovoltaic panel without cooling of 30.21 W with an efficiency of 5.65% where the highest temperature of the photovoltaic panel surface was 48.10 degree Celsius at 11.00 WIB. While the average power output of the photovoltaic panel with cooling was 42.30 W with an efficiency of 7.26% where the highest temperature of the photovoltaic panel surface was 40.25 degree Celsius at 13.00 WIB.en_US
