L QODIR SIREGAR, Study of Heat Conductor Types and Sunlight Exposure Time on the Effectiveness of Thermoelectric Generators. Supervised by RISWANTI SIGALINGGING. Thermoelectric is a technology that converts heat energy directly into electrical energy. To generate electricity, thermoelectric material is simply placed in a system connecting a heat source with a cold side, resulting in the generation of an electric current. Semiconductor materials are typically used for power generation. Semiconductors are materials that can conduct electricity, but not perfectly, such as iron, nickel, and tin. The purpose of this study was to determine the best heat conductor type based on the duration of sunlight exposure for a thermoelectric generator. This study used an experimental method with a factorial Block Randomized Design (BRD) consisting of two treatments. The first factor was the type of metal material (A): A1 = Iron Plate, A2 = Nickel Plate, and A3 = Tin Plate. The second factor was the time of sunlight exposure (B): B1 = 11.00 WIB, B2 = 13.00 WIB, and B3 = 15.00 WIB. The results of the study showed that the type of conductor had a very significant effect on the seebeck effect, electric current, voltage, power and resistance of the thermoelectric generator. The highest seebeck effect, electric current, voltage, power and resistance of the thermoelectric generator was found in iron plates, with seebeck effect 0.13 V/°C, electric current at 0.76 Ampere, voltage at 4.58 Volt, resistance at 5.84 ohm and power at 4.37 Watt. The time of sunlight exposure had a very significant effect on the electric current, voltage, power and resistance of the thermoelectric generator. The highest intensity of sunlight on the seebeck effect, electric current, voltage, power and resistance of the thermoelectric generator was found in the 11.00 WIB of sunlight exposure (B1) with seebeck effect 0.14 V/°C, electric current at 0.98 Ampere, voltage at 5.29 Volt, resistance at 5.17 Ohm and power at 5.54 Watt. The interaction of the type of conductor and the time of sunlight exposure had a very significant effect on the seebeck effect, electric current, voltage, power and resistance of the thermoelectric generator. The highest seebeck effect, electric current, voltage, power and resistance of the thermoelectric generator was found in an iron plate with the time 11.00 WIB of sunlight with seebeck effect 0.19 V/°C, electric current at 1.21 Ampere, voltage at 8.13 Volt, resistance at 6.67 ohm, at 9.87 Watt.en_US
