Karakteristik Pasien Dan Tumor Payudara Di Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara Tahun 2024
Abstract
Background: Breast tumors, or neoplasms, represent abnormal and excessive proliferation of breast tissue, which can be benign or malignant. Demographic and reproductive factors influence their occurrence and prognosis. Objective: To describe the characteristics of breast tumor patients at Prof. dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Hospital, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, 20155, INDONESIA. Methods: A descriptive study using secondary data from medical records. Results: tumors were most common in women >55 years (47,8%). Most patients had secondary education (64% benign; 58% malignant) and were unemployed (66.7%; 65.2%). Benign tumors occurred more frequently in unmarried women (53.8%), malignant tumors in married women (87%). Early menarche (<12 years) was observed in 51.3% of benign and 58% of malignant cases. Histopathologically, Fibroadenoma Mammae (53.8%) dominated benign tumors, while NST carcinoma (78.3%) dominated malignant tumors. Most patients with benign tumors were premenopausal (87.2%), Malignant tumors were mostly postmenopausal (63.8%), Grade III (56.5%), Stage III (49.3%) and non-metastatic (82.6%).
