This research was conducted to produce wallpaper based on natural materials as an alternative to conventional wallpaper made of PVC by utilizing mercury pine pulp as a matrix, bacterial cellulose fermented from kombucha tea as a strengthener, and calcium carbonate as a filler. This research aims to evaluate how different bacte-rial cellulose contents namely 0%, 20%, 25%, and 30%. The wallpaper produced by adding 30% calcium carbonate to the total mixture of materials. The produced wall-paper is characterized using tensile test, water absorption test, painting test, and SEM analysis. The research results show that bacterial cellulose variation of 30% was the most effective composition in all characterizations characterized by an increase in ten-sile strength up to 3.05 MPa, a decrease in water absorption up to 181.02%, the paint-ing test results indicated that no ink spreading occured on the paper surface and the painted line was getting sharper. Meanwhile, SEM observations revealed that the pa-per structure morphology contained a round-shaped bacterial cellulose attached to merkusii pine fibers.en_US
