This study aims to identify the types of iḍāfah and the variations of meanings found in the chapter Aṣ-Ṣiyām in the book Kifāyatu al-Akhyāri by Imam Taqiyyuddin al-Hishni. This research is a library based study employing a qualitative descriptive method. The theoretical framework used in this study refers to the theory of iḍāfah as proposed by Araa’ini and Malik. Data were collected through listening and note taking techniques applied to the text of Kifāyatu al-Akhyāri in the chapter of Aṣ-Ṣiyām. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, classification, in-depth analysis, and conclusion drawing to answer the research questions. The results of the study show that there are 68 data of iḍāfah, all of which are classified as iḍāfah ma‘nawiyyah, while no iḍāfah lafziyyah were found. The meanings of the prepositions underlying the relationship between muḍāf and muḍāf ilaih consist of three types: اللام /al-lām/ with 37 occurrences, من /min/ with 13 occurrences, and في /fī/ with 18 occurrences were found in the data. Among these three types, iḍāfah with the meaning of اللام /al-lām/ is the most dominant form. This study demonstrates that the use of iḍāfah in the chapter Aṣ-Ṣiyām in Kifāyatu al-Akhyāri is not merely a linguistic structure, but also plays an important role in clarifying the syntactic relationships between words in the construction of classical Arabic sentences.
