Purun is a type of grass that has been widely used as the main raw material in making woven handicrafts. Generally, purun woven products are colored using synthetic dyes that can have negative impacts on the environment and health. Considering the impacts caused by synthetic dyes, research is needed on natural dyes for raw materials for purun woven crafts of the type purun danau (Lepironia articulata). Ketapang leaves, angsana tree bark, and telang flowers have the potential to be used as natural dyes. The purpose of this study was to compare the results of natural dyes with 3 types of dye raw materials with synthetic dyes, compare the color stability of purun dyed using natural dyes and synthetic dyes after storage for two months using a colorimeter, its effect on the anatomical structure and dimensions of purun fibers and their derivative values. Ketapang leaves, angsana tree bark, and telang flowers as raw materials for natural dyes were extracted by boiling extraction, resulting in 3 natural dye treatments that will be tested on raw materials for purun danau woven. The results showed that the color formula used affects the color results obtained. Several dye treatments provide significant differences in the runkel number, muhlsteph ratio, stiffness coefficient, and flexibility values of purun fiber. The relatively long purun fiber and its high weaving strength value indicate that the use of purun by the community as a raw material for crafts is appropriate, because it will produce high-quality products. The colorimeter value of the green synthetic dye has the best color stability with a ΔE value of 2,93. In contrast, the natural angsana dye experienced the most drastic color change with a ΔE of 43,53.en_US
