This study aims to analyze the integration of digital technology in managing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) centers as part of the Smart City development strategy.. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research explores MSME actors’ experiences, challenges, and government support through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that MSMEs’ utilization of digital platforms remains focused on marketing through social media and e-commerce, while the adoption of financial management applications and online market connections is still limited due to low levels of digital literacy. To realize Smart City-based MSME centers, an integrated digital system is required, covering financial management, data-driven marketing, and digital literacy training modules. The support provided by the Medan City Government—including digital financing access, online-based business licensing, and cross-sector collaborations—plays a crucial role but requires more intensive assistance and continuous monitoring. This study emphasizes that integrating digital technology in MSME centers not only enhances business competitiveness but also strengthens an inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable local economic ecosystem.
