    Abstract
Following tooth extraction, a physiological wound healing process occurs, consisting of four phases, namely hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. Osteoblasts are key cells involved in bone formation during the proliferation and remodeling phases of alveolar bone healing. One natural compound known to promote wound healing is Centella asiatica (L.) Urban, commonly known as gotu kola. Although its wound-healing properties have been demonstrated in several studies, its effect on post-extraction wound healing has not yet been investigated. This study aims to analyze the effect of Centella asiatica leaf extract on osteoblast proliferation during wound healing after tooth extraction in Wistar rats. This laboratory experimental study involved six treatment groups observed on the 14th and 28th days. The mean number of osteoblast cells was analyzed using ANOVA and post-hoc tests, which revealed a significant difference in osteoblast proliferation (p<0.05). Observations showed that oral administration of Centella asiatica leaf extract at doses of 75 mg/kg BW and 375 mg/kg BW effectively promoted osteoblast proliferation during post-extraction wound healing.
