Dental implants are one method of treatment to replace missing teeth. Dental implants have a number of advantages over conventional dentures. Periodontal status in dental implants refers to the condition of the hard and soft tissues surrounding the implant, known as peri-implant tissues. Periodontal status or the condition of periodontal tissues in dental implant patients is assessed through several clinical parameters such as gingival index and bleeding on probing. Gingival index (GI) is used to assess the severity of gingival inflammation. Patients with a high gingival index and persistent bleeding on probing have a greater risk of peri-implant bone loss. The purpose of this study was to determine the periodontal status of Patients with Dental Implants at the Dental and Oral Hospital of Universitas Sumatera Utara. This study was a descriptive cross-sectional study. The data analysis used in this study was descriptive statistical testing. The results of clinical examinations showed that healthy peri-implant tissue was most commonly found in the posterior mandible with an implant duration of >1 year, while peri-implant mucositis was only found in the posterior mandible with an implant duration of >4 years. The conclusion regarding the periodontal status of dental implant patients was that healthy conditions dominated, with bleeding on probing scores and gingival indices of 0
