Fungsi Program Keluarga Harapan terhadap Partisipasi Pendidikan dan Kesehatan Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (Studi di Kecamatan Teluk Dalam Kabupaten Nias Selatan)

Abstract

This thesis aims to explain the role of the Family Hope Program in the education and health participation of beneficiary families in Teluk Dalam Subdistrict, South Nias Regency. The research is conducted using qualitative methods through indepth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The research informants are selected purposively for 14 informants. The objective of this research is to provide a more comprehensive and accurate understanding of the role of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in the education and health participation of beneficiary families in Teluk Dalam Subdistrict, as well as to examine the involvement of stakeholder in PKH implementation in Teluk Dalam Subdistrict. The results indicate that PKH, as a social system, has several functions in encouraging the participation of beneficiary families, primarily in education and health. In its implementation, PKH has succeeded in some functions, but has failed in others. The Family Hope Program (PKH) has successfully encouraged beneficiary families (KPM) to participate in education and health care, but most beneficiary motivations are instrumental. Value maintenance cannot be optimally implemented, further exacerbated by the lack of involvement of local actors responsible for providing social legitimacy. PKH implementation is known to ultimately lead to negative consequences, including dependence on social assistance.
