Analisis Sistem Distribusi Air Bersih di Desa Kolam Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang Menggunakan Software Epanet 2.0
Analysis of the Clean Water Distribution System in Kolam Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency Using Epanet 2.0 Software
Abstract
Clean water distribution systems play a crucial role in ensuring equitable water availability for communities. Desa Kolam, located in Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, relies on groundwater sources from bore wells as the primary supply of clean water. However, the existing distribution system still faces several challenges, particularly low water pressure during peak hours, resulting in some customers not receiving optimal water supply. This study aims to evaluate the capability of the distribution system in meeting clean water demand, analyze the existing condition of the network, and provide improvement recommendations using EPANET 2.0 software. The research method applied is descriptive quantitative analysis with hydraulic modeling. Primary data were obtained through field surveys, while secondary data included pipe data, customer data, and network maps provided by PDAM Tirta Deli. The calculation results indicate that the available water supply of 10 L/s is sufficient to meet customer demand of 6.23 L/s. However, EPANET simulation results show low pressure at several junctions due to network length, pipe diameters, and the use of a branched distribution system. After implementing improvement scenarios through pump upgrading and reconfiguration of the distribution pipelines, water pressure and flow increased and met hydraulic standards. This study is expected to serve as a reference for PDAM Tirta Deli in improving clean water distribution services in Desa Kolam.
