    Abstract
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a crucial aspect for street sweepers, who are exposed to a high risk of accidents and environmental hazards. This study aims to determine the effect of OSH promotion delivered through TikTok on safe behavior among street sweepers in Medan City. A quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design was applied. The sample consisted of 40 street sweepers selected based on the study’s inclusion criteria. The intervention was provided in the form of OSH educational videos disseminated via TikTok. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to assess differences between pre- and post-intervention scores. The findings revealed that TikTok-based OSH promotion had a significant impact on improving safe behavior. There was a significant increase in cognitive scores (p < 0.001) with a mean difference of 2.75. The affective aspect also improved significantly (p = 0.005) with a mean score increase of 15.68. Additionally, the conative aspect showed a significant rise (p < 0.001) with a mean difference of 17.54 after the intervention. These results indicate that TikTok can serve as an effective medium for OSH promotion by enhancing knowledge, attitudes, and intention to practice safe behavior among street sweepers. It is recommended that short-video social media platforms, particularly TikTok, be utilized as innovative and accessible tools for OSH education to support the improvement of safe behavior in street sweeping workers.
