Analisis Relasi Makna dalam Cerpen الأمير مشمش /Al-Amiru Misymisy/ “Pangeran Misymisy” Karya Kamil Kailani

Abstract

This study discusses the semantic relations found in the short story الأمير مشمش "Al-Amīru Misymisy" ("Prince Misymisy") by Kamil Kailani. The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of semantic relations identified in the story based on the theories of Nur, Chaer (2017), and Sumarti (2017). This research is a type of library research using a qualitative method and descriptive analysis. Data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate that there is a meaningful relationship or semantic relation between a word/language unit and other units/languages contained in the story that 23 synonymous meaning relations and 11 antonymous meaning relations were found. The conclusion is that there are synonymous and antonymous words that aim to strengthen the meaning relations in the short story "Al-Amīru Misymisy" by Kamil Kailani.
