General elections serve as a competitive arena in which political parties seek
electoral legitimacy. In the 2024 Election in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, the
Perindo Party recorded a significant increase in electoral gains, rising from one to
five seats in the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) and securing the
position of Speaker of the Council. This study aims to analyze Perindo’s winning
strategy, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine the impact of these
strategies on the party’s vote acquisition. This research employs a descriptive
qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and documentation, with data
analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that Perindo’s
victory resulted from a combination of offensive and defensive strategies, including
expanding its support base, penetrating non-base areas, and strengthening internal
consolidation. These strategies were reinforced by the application of political
marketing (push, pull, and pass marketing) and political communication that
fostered political trust through direct engagement with the community. Supporting
factors include strong cadre networks and pro-people social programs, while
obstacles arose from logistical limitations and competition with established parties.
The study concludes that the strategies implemented by the Perindo Party were
effective in increasing electoral support in the 2024 Election.
