dc.description.abstractFloods often occur due to prolonged rains or poor infrastructure or distribution. In addition, flooding can also be caused by water sent from higher ground. For that we need a system that always detects floods and provides warnings. In this study, an ultrasonic sensor is used which can read the water level or height effectively. Sensors are placed on the banks of rivers or floodgates so that they can monitor the water level. The sensor detects the distance between the sensor and the river water level and then calculates the water level. The data is compared with the limits made, in this case below 1 meter is normal, between 1 meter to 2 meters on standby and above 2 meters is a hazard. Standby alert will be sent if the level is between 1 to 2 meters. When the water level is above 2 meters, the controller will send a flood hazard warning to residents and be accompanied by an active warning in the form of a buzzer sound and indicator light. The results obtained are that a flood detection and early warning system can be made with electronic components such as ultrasonic sensors, microcontrollers and buzzers whose work functions are programmed on the MCU node microcontroller. An IoT-based remote warning system, namely Telegram, can be realized by using the internet network and making Telegram bots in the program.en_US
