Employee performance is a fundamental element in supporting the quality of statistical services at the Central Bureau of Statistics (Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS). Employees' perceptions of the planned implementation of a single salary system as part of remuneration reform, as well as their level of self-efficacy, are expected to play a role in shaping job satisfaction and improving employee performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of the planned implementation of a single salary system and self- efficacy on employee performance, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable, at the Central Bureau of Statistics of Langkat Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach involving all Civil Servants (Aparatur Sipil Negara/ASN) of BPS Langkat Regency, totaling 39 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that the planned implementation of a single salary system and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance. In addition, job satisfaction also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, job satisfaction is not proven to mediate the effect of the planned implementation of a single salary system on employee performance, whereas job satisfaction is proven to significantly mediate the effect of self-efficacy on employee performance. These findings imply that improving the performance of BPS employees needs to be supported by a fair and transparent income system, as well as by strengthening employee self-efficacy as an internal factor that plays a role in enhancing job satisfaction and sustainable performanceen_US
