This study aims to analyze Roman Ingarden’s structuralism in the song lyrics “Dalam
Hitungan,” “Tarian Penghancur Raya,” and “Peradaban” by .Feast. The selection of
these song lyrics is based on the depth of meaning and the representation of social
realities reflected within them. This research employs a structuralist approach using
Roman Ingarden’s theory of norm strata, which consists of five layers: the sound layer,
the meaning layer, the object layer, the world layer, and the metaphysical layer. The
research method applied is library research with a descriptive qualitative approach.
The data consist of song lyrics analyzed using relevant theories and concepts. The
findings indicate that the structure of the three song lyrics constructs meanings related
to materialism, technological development, and the human condition through sound
patterns, language use, symbolism, and the depiction of the lyrical world. These
meanings are not only evident at the textual level but also emerge from the interrelation
among the norm strata that form a unified structure of meaning. This study is expected
to contribute to literary studies, particularly to the application of Roman Ingarden’s
structuralist theory in analyzing song lyrics as literary works.
