Analisis Makna Bahasa Non-Verbal dalam Anime Yubisaki To Renren (Kajian Semiotika)

Abstract

This study aims to explain the form and meaning of nonverbal language in the anime Yubisaki To Renren using semiotics. The analysis of the meaning of nonverbal language is conducted to describe the forms of body gestures, sign language, and facial expressions. The semiotic analysis in the anime Yubisaki To Renren is interpreted through Peirce's trichotomy approach to semiotics, which consists of three main elements, namely representamen, object, and interpretant, which are used to explore how nonverbal signs are able to create deep and touching meanings in an animated work. It also describes the forms of nonverbal language and the meaning of nonverbal language in communication to build interactions between characters in the anime Yubisaki To Renren. The data used in this study includes body gestures and facial expressions sourced from the anime Yubisaki To Renren. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a data collection method in the form of observation and note-taking techniques, which are then presented in a descriptive narrative form. The results of the data analysis show that communication does not only occur through verbal speech but also through various visual signs that reflect emotions, cultural values, and inter-character relationships. Gestures, sign language, and facial expressions function as a series of signs that help shape understanding, emotional closeness, and interaction dynamics, especially for Yuki as a deaf character.
