One of the problems that often occurs in the city of Medan is the problem of flooding, including in Medan Petisah District where the biggest problem is flooding that often occurs when there is heavy rain and inadequate drainage channels, so that the capacity of the channels is unable to accommodate rainwater runoff resulting in puddles or floods. The problem of flooding is caused by many aspects, one of which is that the channels are inadequate to accommodate rainfall coupled with sedimentation at the bottom of the channel, and also aspects of the surrounding community who often throw garbage carelessly in the channels which causes water flow to be hampered during the rain and there is no maintenance or cleaning of the channels from garbage or sedimentation. This final project aims to analyze the intensity of rainfall and flow discharge in the drainage channels of Medan Petisah District and evaluate the Q plan with the Q in the field to find out which areas are included in the puddle or flood areas in flood mitigation efforts in Medan Petisah District. Based on the results of the research on rainfall intensity and calculation of planned discharge with a time span of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 25 years, it was concluded that Medan Petisah District has a fairly high rainfall intensity and discharge that exceeds the capacity of the drainage on Jalan Ayahanda Drainage, Medan Petisah District. There are 2 channels that were evaluated, namely the channel leading to Jalan Gatot Subroto and the drainage channel leading to the Ayahanda Street Drainage. It was concluded that in the Ayahanda Street channel with Qmax>Qext and Hext<Hrencana, so it is necessary to change the dimensions due to the channel's inability to accommodate rainwater discharge, resulting in overflowing water which leads to puddles on the road.en_US
