    Evaluasi Daya Dukung Sungai Deli (Segmen Hilir) Melalui Kemampuan Self di Kota Medan (Point Source Limbah Domestik Titik Kuning)

    Abstract
    Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Deli merupakan daerah aliran sungai yang mengalir dari Kabupaten Karo, Kabupaten Deli Serdang dan melintasi Kota Medan kemudian bermuara ke Selat Melaka. Sungai Deli juga merupakan salah satu sungai utama yang menjadi sumber perairan bagi pertanian dan perkebunan. Jumlah penduduk yang terus meningkat setiap tahun menyebabkan semakin tercemarnya Sungai Deli, oleh karena itu diperlukan pemantauan kualitas air. Kualitas air bahan baku olahan juga sangat bergantung pada sumber pencemar dan kemampuan self purification oleh DAS tersebut. Kemampuan Self Purification DAS merupakan luaran dari berbagai faktor yang interdependen antara lain : penggunaan lahan di sekitar DAS, sumber pencemar dan kuantitas pencemar, hydrologi, geomorfologi sungai, anthropogenic di sepanjang DAS dan lain-lain. Hasil Buangan domestik kelurahan titi kuning Provinsi sumatera utara yang dibuang ke badan sungai sebesar 4.6 mg/l untuk konsentrasi organik BOD dan 5.7 untuk COD serta 3.5 mg/l untuk konsentrasi Oksigen Terlarut. Hasil permodelan dengan kurva pengurangan oksigen akibat buangan ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai laju deoksigenasi (K) = 0.571 /hari dan laju aerasi (R) = 2.0921/hari. Dari hasil ini menggambarkan tidak terdapat zona pemulihan kandungan oksigen pada Sungai Deli menuju kondisi saturasi DO. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui besar daya dukung kemampuan self purification DAS Deli dengan menggunakan model streeter – phelps dengan parameter-parameter yang diambil sebagai penentu nilai indeks pencemaran air, yang diharapkan dapat sebagai masukan kepada stake holder / pemangku kepentingan yang mengeluarkan kebijakan publik agar tujuan DAS Deli dapat menjadi SDA yang berkelanjutan untuk Kota Medan
     
    Deli Watershed (DAS) is a watershed that flows from Karo Regency, Deli Serdang Regency and crosses Medan City then empties into the Straits of Melaka. Deli River is also one of the main rivers which is a source of water for agriculture and plantations. The population that continues to increase every year causes the Deli River to become more contaminated, therefore water quality monitoring is needed. The water quality of processed raw materials is also very dependent on pollutant sources and the ability of self purification by the watershed. Self Purification DAS ability is the output of various interdependent factors including: land use around the watershed, pollutant sources and quantity of pollutants, hydrology, river geomorphology, anthropogenic along the watershed and others. Output of domestic waste from the village of titi kuning in North Sumatra Province were dumped into the river body by 4.6 mg / l for organic concentrations of BOD and 5.7 for COD and 3.5 mg / l for dissolved oxygen concentrations. The results of modeling with oxygen reduction curves due to this discharge indicate that the value of deoxygenation rate (K) = 0.571 / day and aeration rate (R) = 2.0921 / day. From these results, there is no recovery zone for oxygen content in the Deli River towards DO saturation. Based on the above problems, the purpose of this study was to determine the capacity of the Deli purification watershed of the Deli River Basin by using the streeter-phelps model with the parameters taken as determinants of the water pollution index value, it is expected to be as input to stakeholders / stakeholders who issue public policies so that the purpose of the Deli River Basin can become sustainable natural resources for the City of Medan
