    Adsorpsi Asam Lemak Bebas dari CPO dengan Menggunakan Adsorben Kalsium Silikat Bertemplate Glukosa

    Abstract
    Research has been conducted about using calcium silicate adsorbent (CaSiO3) glucose template on adsorption of free fatty acid on crude palm oil by adsorption method. This research aims to reduce of free fatty acid on crude palm oil using calcium silicate glucose template. The study was conducted with variations in template concentration, adsorbent mass and stirring time during the adsorption process. Determination of free fatty acid content on crude palm oil was carried out by titrimetry method using a standard NaOH solution of 0.0979 N. The experimental results show that CaSiO3 template Glucose (CTGlu) adsorbent can be used as an adsorbent. Based on the adsorption process, the largest FFA adsorption results were obtained by using CTGlu5 adsorbent. The highest absorption rate of FFA was obtained by using CTGlu5 adsorbent with adsorbent mass of 1.5 g and stirring time for 7 minutes which was 61,5 % with the weight of FFA adsorbed as much as 147,6 mg FFA of 240 mg FFA in 2 g of CPO. While the smallest FFA absorption rate was obtained by using CTGlu10 adsorbent with 0.5 g adsorbent mass and stirring time for 1 minute which was 14,5% with the weight of FFA adsorbed as much as 34,8 mg FFA from 240 mg FFA in 2 g of CPO.
     
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penggunaan adsorben kalsium silikat (CaSiO3) template glukosa dalam mengadsorpsi asam lemak bebas (ALB) dalam CPO dengan metode adsorpsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan ALB dalam CPO dengan menggunakan adsorben CaSiO3 template glukosa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan variasi konsentrasi template, massa adsorben dan waktu pengadukan selama proses adsorpsi. Penentuan kadar asam lemak bebas pada CPO dilakukan dengan metode titrimetri dengan menggunakan larutan standar NaOH 0,0979 N. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa adsorben CaSiO3 template glukosa (CTGlu) dapat digunakan sebagai adsorben. Berdasarkan proses adsorpsi tersebut, diperoleh hasil adsorpsi ALB terbesar yaitu dengan menggunakan adsorben CTGlu5. Tingkat penyerapan ALB terbesar diperoleh dengan menggunakan adsorben CTGlu5 dengan massa adsorben 1,5 g dan waktu pengadukan selama 7 menit yaitu sebesar 61,5% dengan berat ALB yang teradsorpsi sebanyak 147,6 mg ALB dari 240 mg ALB dalam 2 g CPO. Sedangkan tingkat penyerapan ALB terkecil diperoleh dengan menggunakan adsorben CTGlu10 dengan massa adsorben 0,5 g dan waktu pengadukan selama 1 menit yaitu sebesar 14,5%.
