Pengembangan Protokol Implementasi Timbang Terima Pasien dengan Metode BedsideHandover di Ruang Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit USU Medan

Abstract

Protokol implementasi timbang terima pasien dengan metode bedside handover merupakan suatu panduan yang dikembangkan sebagai pedoman dalam menerapkan timbang terima pasien antar shift. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan protokol implementasi timbang terima pasien dengan metode bedside handover di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah action research. yang dilakukan 1 siklus mulai dari bulan Mei sampai Juli 2017. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah panduan focus group discussion, kuisioner kepuasan pasien terhadap pelayanan kesehatan, kuisioner kepuasan kerja perawat, dan format observasi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 18 orang perawat, yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan content analysis dan analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif..Penelitian ini menghasilkan protokol implementasi timbang terima pasien dengan metode bedsidehandoverdi ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan..Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada pihak manajemen rumah sakit Umum Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan agar melakukan evaluasi draft protokol timbang terima pasien dengan metode bedside handover dengan uji coba sehingga menjadi protokol timbang terima pasien dengan metode bedside handover yang baku.

The protocol of the implementation of patient handover using the bedside handover method is a guidance developed as the guideline to implement patient handover between shifts. The objective of the research was to develop the protocol of the implementation of patient handover using the bedside handover method in the Inpatient Wards of University of Sumatera Utara Hospital, Medan. This is an action research, done in 1 cycle from May until July, 2017. The instruments to collect the data were Guided Focus Group Discussion (FGD), questionnaires about patients‟ satisfaction to the health service, questionnaires about nurses‟ job satisfaction, and observational forms. There were 18 nurses taken as the participants by employing purposive sampling technique. The data analyzed qualitatively applied content analysis and the data analyzed quantitatively used descriptive statistical test. The research invented an implementation protocol of patients‟ handover using bedside handover method in the inpatient room at University of Sumatera Utara Hospital, Medan.. The research recommends that the hospital management continue the supervision in order to evaluate the conduct of the implementation protocol of patients‟ handover using bedside handover in the Inpatient Wards of University of Sumatera Utara Hospital, Medan.
