A Description of The Main Characters’ Conflicts in Dan Brown’s Novel Inferno

Abstract

The title of this paper is "A Description of the Main Characters' Conflicts in And Brown's Inferno Novel". This study aims to analyze conflicts in the Inferno novel. The purpose of this study is to find conflicts experienced by the main character. The process of collecting data begins with reading the Inferno novel by Dan Brown and then followed by marking and taking notes on novel parts related to research. In the novel there are two figures who play a very important role and are considered as the main characters. They are Robert Langdon and Bertrand Zobrist. In this paper there are two conflicts that occur namely internal conflict and external conflict. Robert Langdon experienced internal, external conflict as well as Bertrand Zobrist.

Judul kertas karya ini adalah "A Description of the Main Characters' Conflicts in Dan Brown's Novel Inferno". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konflik-konflik di dalam novel Inferno. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menemukan konflik yang dialami oleh tokoh utama. Proses pengumpulan data dimulai dengan membaca novel Inferno oleh Dan Brown dan kemudian diikuti dengan menandai dan mengambil catatan bagian-bagian novel yang terkait dengan penelitian. Dalam novel tersebut ada dua tokoh yang berperan sangat penting dan di anggap sebagai tokoh utama. Mereka adalah Robert Langdon dan Bertrand Zobrist. Dalam kertas karya ini terdapat dua konflik yang terjadi yaitu konflik internal dan konflik eksternal. Robert Langdon mengalami konflik internal,eksternal begitu juga Bertrand Zobrist.
