Ekranisasi Novel ke Film Bei Tou Zou De Na Wu Nian Karya Ba Yue Chang An

Abstract

This research is entitled "Ecranizing novels into films Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Nián by Ba Yue Chang An. This research examines the process transfer of mode that causes various changes, especially concerning the plot in the shrinking and addition aspects using the Ecranization approach. This research aims to describe the plot of ecranization in the form of shrinking and addition aspects in the ecranizing of the novel to the film Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Nián by Ba Yue Chang An. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The source of this research data is the novel Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Nián by Ba Yue Chang An and the film Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Niánby director Wong Chun-Chun. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the process of transferring from the novel to film raises various changes in the aspects of shrinking and additions that are related to the plot elements. The scene when the main character He Man and Xie Yu arrived at the hotel, the conversation between He Man and He Qi when in the hospital, the character He Man and Xiao Huan met at a café, as well as the events when Xie Yu had to accept He Man's decision to carry out the operation has experienced a shrinkage of the plot in the film. Meanwhile, in the event of the character He Man exchanging plates with Xie Yu, Xie Yu's character asks Danny for help to propose He Man's character again, and the scene when He Man's character asks Xie Yu to turn off the ventilator machine has experienced addition plot in the film.Overall, the shrinking carried out in the visualization to the film is still reasonable because the cutting of the story is taken in a part that is not so important to visualize.The shrinking of plot occurs because the media used in making novels and films is different. Overall, the addition of the plot in the film is still relevant to the story contained in the novel, except that the visualization in the film is shown to be more interesting, so the story in the film is not monotonous as in the novel.

Penelitian ini berjudul “Ekranisasi novel ke film Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Nián karya Ba Yue Chang An. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang proses alih wahana yang menimbulkan berbagai perubahan terutama menyangkut kepada alur dalam aspek penciutan dan penambahan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Ekranisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ekranisasi alur dalam bentuk aspek penciutan dan penambahan dalam ekranisasi novel ke film Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Nián karya Ba Yue Chang An. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Nián karya Ba Yue Chang An dan film Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Nián karya sutradara WongChun-Chun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses alih wahana dari novel ke film Bèi Tōu Zǒu De Nà Wǔ Nián menimbulkan berbagai perubahan pada aspek penciutan dan penambahan yang menyangkut kepada unsur alur. Adegan ketika tokoh utama He Man danXie Yu yang telah tiba di hotel, percakapan tokoh He Man dan He Qi ketika di rumah sakit, tokoh He Man dan Xiao Huan bertemu di sebuah cafe, maupun peristiwa ketika Xie Yu harus berlapang dada menerima keputusan He Man untuk melakukan operasi telah mengalami penciutan alur dalam film. Sedangkan pada peristiwa tokoh He Man bertukar piring dengan Xie Yu, tokoh Xie Yu meminta bantuan pada tokoh Danny untuk melamar tokoh He Man kembali, maupun adegan ketika tokoh He Man meminta kepada tokoh Xie Yu untuk mematikan mesin ventilator telah mengalami penambahan alur dalam film. Secara keseluruhan, penciutan yang dilakukan dalam visualisasi nya ke film masih wajar dilakukan karena pemotongan cerita diambil pada bagian yang tidak begitu penting untuk divisualisasikan. Penciutan alur terjadi karena media yang digunakan dalam pembuatan novel dan film berbeda. Penambahan alur dalam film secara keseluruhan masih relevan dengan cerita yang terdapat pada novel, hanya saja pada visualisasi dalam film ditampilkan lebih menarik sehingga cerita dalam film tidak monoton seperti yang terdapat pada novel.
