A Description of The Main Characters Conflicts in Rick Riordan’s Novel “Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief”

Abstract

Conflicts often occur in people's lives, this occurs because of the choice that does not satisfy the party, this is interesting to discuss even in the literature itself because literary works can never be separated from society. The things that will be discussed are the internal and external conflicts faced by the main character in Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. This paper includes a description of literature which is complete with background problems, objectives of the study, limitations of the discussion, and research methods used. the author also displays novel concepts, character concepts and concepts of conflict. and the analysis of internal and external conflicts faced by the main actors in the novel is examined in Chapter III. This paper concludes with conclusions from the analysis and suggestions for readers regarding the importance of understanding the relationship between self and society so as to create a better society. The attachments in the form of summary stories and author biographies are presented to make it easier for readers to understand this paper.

Konflik sering terjadi dalam kehidupan masyarakat, ini terjadi karena pilihan yang tidak memuaskan pihak, ini menarik untuk dibahas bahkan dalam literatur itu sendiri karena karya sastra tidak pernah dapat dipisahkan dari masyarakat. Hal-hal yang akan dibahas adalah konflik internal dan eksternal yang dihadapi oleh tokoh utama dalam Percy Jackson dan The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Makalah ini mencakup deskripsi literatur yang dilengkapi dengan latar belakang masalah, tujuan penelitian, keterbatasan diskusi, dan metode penelitian yang digunakan. penulis juga menampilkan konsep-konsep baru, konsep karakter dan konsep konflik. dan analisis konflik internal dan eksternal yang dihadapi oleh aktor utama dalam novel ini dibahas dalam Bab III. Makalah ini diakhiri dengan kesimpulan dari analisis dan saran untuk pembaca mengenai pentingnya memahami hubungan antara diri dan masyarakat sehingga tercipta masyarakat yang lebih baik. Lampiran dalam bentuk cerita ringkasan dan biografi penulis disajikan untuk memudahkan pembaca memahami makalah ini.
