    Grammatical Errors on Students’ Writing of Recount Text: A Case Study at SMK Parulian 3 Medan

    Abstract
    This thesis entitled “GRMMATICAL ERRORS ON STUDENTS‟ WRITING OF RECOUNT TEXT: A CASE STUDY AT SMK PARULIAN 3 MEDAN” the aim of this research is to describe about the errors of students‟ writing of recount text. In this research the writer use Dulay theory and Brown theory. The writer use qualitative researchmethod and descriptive analytical research technique. The result of the research, the writer found the errors made by the students such as 10 errors of omission, 1 error of double marking, 7 error of regularization, 0 error of simple adition, 60 error of misinformation and 2 error of misordering. The writer concludes there are interference between first and second language in learning English and the low of frequent of the students to practice to write recount text.
     
    Skripsi ini berjudul “GRMMATICAL ERRORS ON STUDENTS‟ WRITING OF RECOUNT TEXT: A CASE STUDY AT SMK PARULIAN 3 MEDAN” tujuan dari penelitisn ini adlah untuk menjelaskan tentang kesalahan grammar pada penulisan reount text pada murid. Pada penelitian ini oenulis menggunakan teori Dulay dan Brown. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan teknik deskripsi analisis. Hasil dari peneitian ini, penulis menemukan 10 kesalahan dari omission, 1 kesalahan dari double marking, 7 kesalahan dari regularization, 0 kesalahan dari adition, 60 kesalahan dari misinformation, 2 kesalahan dari misordering. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa adanya interferensi antara bahasa pertama dan kedua dalam belajar bahasa inggris dan rendahnya frekuensi murid untuk melatih recount text.
