Types of Translation in Anak Semua Bangsa into Child of All Nations Novel

Abstract

This thesis entitled Types of Translation in Anak Semua Bangsa Into Child of All Nations Novel. This thesis contains a study of types of translation. The aims of this thesis are (i) to find out the types of translation are applied in Child of All Nations Novel, (ii) to find out how they revealed in the translated text in Child of All Nations Novel. The writer used literary translation as the concept of theory. The writer also used Julian House‟s model of Translation Quality Assessment theory to help the writer in analyzing the problems. In completing the analysis, the writer use qualitative descriptive method. The writer collects the data from some sources included Child of All Nations Novel, journals, articles, and book which related to the translation quality assessment.

Skripsi ini berjudul Jenis-jenis Terjemahan di Anak Semua Bangsa Menjadi Child of All Nations Novel. Skripsi ini merupakan analisis jenis-jenis terjemahan. Tujuan dari tesis ini adalah (i) untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis terjemahan yang ada didalam novel Child of All Nations, (ii) untuk mengetahui bagaimana hal itu terlihat didalam terjemahan teks di novel Child of All Nations. Penulis menggunakan terjemahan dalam karya sastra sebagai konsep teori. Penulis juga menggunakan teori penilaian kualitas terjemahan dari Julian House untuk membantu penulis dalam menganalisis permasalahannya. Untuk melengkapi proses analisis, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Penulis mengumpulkan data dari beberapa sumber seperti novel didalam novel Child of All Nations, beberapa jurnal, artikel, serta buku-buku yang berhubungan dengan penilaian kualitas terjemahan.
