This thesis entitled Improving young learners‟s english vocabulary throough total physical response method. The problems was namely how can Total physical response improve young learners‟ vocbulary and what are the advantages and disadvantages of using total physical response in improving young learners‟s english vocabulary. The objectives of this study are to describe the procedure of teaching English vocabulary to the young learners at First Class Education Center by using Total Physical Response (TPR) method and to identify the advantages and disadvantages of using the TPR method in teaching vocabulary. To achieve the objectives of the study, the writer conducted a classroom action research. It was done at First Class Education Center. The object of the study was the young learners around 7-12 years old. There were 12 students; 3 girls and 9 boys. The writer carried out three steps. The first step was the pre-test. The second step was the action. The action consisted of two cycles. The difference between these cycles was on topic of material used. Each cycle consisted of teaching and learning process and a test. The last steps were the post-test and interview. The interview was done in order to find out the advantages and disadvantages of TPR method. The analysis of the data showed that there was a significant difference of the students‟ achievement in the pre-test and post-test. The students‟ scores in the post-test achieved 86 point. It was higher than pre-test which was only 46. The main factor affecting this improvement was the students‟ interest in teaching learning process through Total Physical Response. Based on this data, the writer concluded that teaching English vocabulary through TPR is very beneficial for the students in learning English vocabulary. Skripsi ini berjudul peningkatan kosakata bahasa inggris anak-anak melalui metode respon fisik. Masalah penelitian yakni bagaimana bisa metoe total repon fisik meningkatkan kosakata bahasa inggris anak-anak dan apa keuntungan serta kerugian menggunakan metode total respon fisik dalam meningkatkan kosakata bahasa inggris anak-anak.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan prosedur pengajaran kosakata Bahasa Inggris kepada murid-murid di First Class Education Center dengan menggunakan metode Total Physical Response (TPR) dan untuk mengidentifikasi kelebihan serta kekurangan dalam menggunakan metode tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan di First Class Education Center. Objek penelitian adalah murid berusia sekitar 7-12 tahun, terdiri atas 12 murid, 3 perempuan dan 9 laki-laki. Penulis menggunakan 3 tahap. Tahan pertama adalah pre-test. Tahap kedua adalah tindakan kelas. Tahap ketiga terbagi atas 2 siklus, yaitu post-test dan interview. Masing-masing siklus berisi proses belajar-mengajar dan sebuah tes. Perbedaan antara siklus-siklus ini adalah pada topik materi yang digunakan. Interview dilakukan untuk menemukan kelebihan serta kekurangan metode TPR. Penelitian menemukan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada pencapaian murid-murid berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Skor murid pada post-test mencapai 86. Nilai tersebut lebih tinggi daripada pretest yang hanya 46. Dampak faktor utama perkembangan ini adalah ketertarikan murid-murid pada proses belajar dengan TPR. Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kosakata Bahasa Inggris melalui TPR sangatlah membantu siswa meskipun memiliki beberapa keterbatasan. Disarankan bahwa TPR sangat direkomendasikan untuk guru Bahasa Inggris.
