Analisis Pengaruh Industri Besar dan Sedang Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Kota Medan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of industrial labor variables, industrial value added, total industrial output, and industrial input costs on economic growth in Medan City. The data used are the time series data from 1993-2016 which are sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of Medan (BPS city of Medan), and supported by library data. To analyze the hypothesis, namely the influence of industrial labor force, industrial value added, total industrial output, and industrial input costs on economic growth in Medan City, multiple linear regression analysis method was used to determine of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that industrial labor, industrial value added, total industrial output, and industrial input costs influence economic growth, which means that if the number of industrial workers increases by 1%, economic growth will decrease by 3%. If industrial value added rises by 1%, economic growth will increase by 1.9%. If total industrial output rises by 1%, economic growth will increase by 3.4%. And if industrial input costs increase by 1%, economic growth will decrease by 2.3%.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel tenaga kerja industri, nilai tambah industri, total output industri, dan biaya input industri terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Kota Medan. Data yang digunakan adalah data time series tahun 1993-2016 yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik kota Medan (BPS kota Medan), dan ditunjang data pustaka. Untuk menganalisis hipotesis yaitu pengaruh pengaruh tenaga kerja industri, nilai tambah industri, total output industri, dan biaya input industri terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Kota Medan, digunakan metode analisis Linier Berganda mengetahui pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikatnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tenaga kerja industri, nilai tambah industri, total output industri, dan biaya input industri berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, yang artinya apabila jumlah tenaga kerja industri naik sebesar 1% maka pertumbuhan ekonomi akan mengalami penurunan sebesar 3%. Apabila nilai tambah industri naik sebesar 1% maka pertumbuhan ekonomi akan meningkat sebesar 1,9%. Apabila total output industri naik sebesar 1% maka pertumbuhan ekonomi akan meningkat sebesar 3,4%. Dan apabila biaya input industri mengalami peningkatan 1% maka pertumbuhan ekonomi akan menurun sebesar 2,3%.
