This thesis was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method, while the data were Emma Watson‟s utterances taken from the transcription of HeForShe Conversation with Emma Watson on International Women‟s Day 2015. The result of the research shows 550 occurrences of nine out of ten of women‟s language features in Emma Watson‟s utterances in HeForShe Conversation with Emma Watson on International Women‟s Day 2015, and one feature is not found in this research. Lexical hedges/fillers are used most frequently by Emma Watson with 335 occurrences, followed by 119 occurrences of intensifiers, 60 hypercorrect grammar, 37 rising intonations, 30 emphatic stress, 6 avoidance of strong swear words, 5 super-polite forms, 2 empty adjectives, and 1 tag question. Meanwhile, precise colour term is not found in this research. The result also shows there are four out of five functions of women‟s language feature found in this research. The most frequent function found is to intensify/emphasise (278) consist of 38 lexical hedges/fillers, 37 rising intonations, 1 empty adjective, 119 intensifiers, 57 hypercorrect grammars, 3 super-polite forms, and 30 emphatic stress, followed by to show uncertainty (227) consist of 223 lexical hedges/fillers, 1 tag question, and 3 hypercorrect grammars; to express feeling (88) consisting of 81 lexical hedges/ fillers, 1 empty adjectives, and 6 avoidance of strong swear words; to soften certain utterances (2) consist of only super-polite form. One function that is not found in the data is to get response. The result of the research shows that the employment of women‟s language features in Emma Watson‟s utterances mostly function to emphasise the meaning and to make firmer statements to avoid not being taken seriously by the audience.
