Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat, yaitu: (1) pengaruh dukungan sosial teman
sebaya terhadap penyesuaian diri remaja di pesantren; (2) pengaruh dukungan
sosial terhadap regulasi emosi remaja di pesantren; (3) pengaruh regulasi emosi
terhadap penyesuaian diri remaja di pesantren; dan (4) pengaruh dukungan sosial
teman sebaya yang dimediasi regulasi emosi terhadap penyesuaian diri remaja di
pesantren. Subyek dalam penelitian ini merupakan remaja kelas VIII dan IX di
pesantren Darularafah, yang berjumlah 278 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel
yang digunakan yaitu probability sampling dengan teknik cluster sampling. Data
yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisa dengan menggunakan metode analisis jalur
(path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh
dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap penyesuaian diri remaja di pesantren,(2)
tidak terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap regulasi emosi remaja di
pesantren; (3) terdapat pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap penyesuaian diri remaja
di pesantren; (4) pengaruh dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap penyesuaian
diri remaja di pesantren tidak dimediasi regulasi emosi. This study is aimed to investigate: (1) the influence of peer social support on
adolescents adjustment in Islamic boarding schools; (2) the influence of peer
social support on adolescents emotion regulation in Islamic boarding schools; (3)
the influence of emotion regulation on adolescents adjustment in Islamic boarding
schools; and (4) the influence of peer social support mediated by emotion
regulation on adolescents adjustment in Islamic boarding schools. The subjects in
this study were adolescents of 9th and 10th grade in the Darularafah Islamic
boarding school, which numbered 278 people. The sampling method used is
probability sampling with a cluster sampling technique. The data obtained is then
analyzed using the path analysis method. The results showed that: (1) there is the
influence of peer social support on adolescents adjustment in Islamic boarding
schools, (2) there is no the influence of peer social support on adolescents
emotion regulation in Islamic boarding schools; (3) there is the influence of
emotion regulation on adolescents adjustment in Islamic boarding schools; (4) the
influence of peer social support on adolescents adjustment in Islamic boarding
schools isn’t mediated by emotion regulation
