dc.description.abstract | Telah dilakukan penelitian pembuatan komposit resin DGEBA dengan pengisi serat sabut kelapa. Serat sabut kelapa yang digunakan dialkalisasi dengan larutan NaOH 5 % selama 72 jam. Bilangan hidroksi serat sabut kelapa yang telah dialkalisasi adalah 472 mmol/g. Proses pembuatan komposit resin DGEBA dilakukan dengan susunan serat yang searah dengan panjang serat 60 mm. Pencetakan komposit dilakukan dengan pengepressan pada suhu 27 0C selama 30 menit. Komposit resin DGEBA yang dihasilkan dikarakterisasi sifat-sifat mekanik dengan uji tarik, uji lentur, daya serap air, stabilitas panas dengan TGA, analisa morfologi permukaan dengan SEM, dan identifikasi gugus fungsi dengan FTIR. Komposit resin DGEBA yang dihasilkan memiliki nilai daya serap air sebesar 8.77 %. Berdasarkan hasil uji mekanik komposit resin DGEBA yang optimum adalah pada perbandingan serat sabut kelapa : resin DGEBA : hardener yaitu 10 : 75 : 15 dimana nilai uji tariknya 48, 31 MPa dan UFS 26.75 MPa. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | The manufacturing of DGEBA resin composite with coconut fiber as fillers has been established. Coconut fiber which used was alkalyzed with NaOH 5% solution for 72 hours. Hydroxyl number of coco fiber which alcalyzed was 472 mmol/g. The manufacturing of DGEBA resin composite process was performed with unidirectional fiber arrangement with a fiber length of 60 mm. The composite was pressed at a temperature of 27 oC for 30 minutes. The result of DGEBA resin composite was characterized by determined the mechanical properties e.g: tensile test, bending test, water absorption, thermal stability by TGA, analysis of the surface morphology by SEM, and identification of functional groups by FTIR. The result of DGEBA resin composite has a water absorption value of 8.77%. Based on the results of mechanical tests of DGEBA resin composite which get optimum point at the ratio of coconut fiber : DGEBA resin : hardener about 10:75:15 where it has the value of tensile test 48,31 MPa and the value of UFS 26.75 MPa. | en_US |
